Blue Wave Records Turns 40! Special Concert Featuring Top Local Musicians
The area’s best musicians will be celebrating Blue Wave Record’s 40th Anniversary with a special concert featuring selected songs from the extensive catalog of Blue Wave Record‘s artists.
Blue Wave is Central New York’s oldest nationally distributed Independent Record Label, founded in 1985 by Baldwinsville native Greg Spencer. Over the past 40 years, Blue Wave has released albums from National artists Downchild Blues Band, Eric Burdon, Kim Simmonds & Savoy Brown, Cub Koda, Arthur Brown & Jimmy Carl Black, Sean Costello, Jimmy Cavallo as well as Syracuse based artists such as The Kingsnakes, Doyle-Whiting Band, Kim Lembo & Blue Heat and others.
Sammy Hall Of Fame member and Blue Wave president, Greg Spencer currently produces The GREAT Salt City BLUES Concert held annually in Syracuse the day after Christmas.
Songs performed will include favorites from Downchild Blues Band, Kim Simmonds & Savoy Brown, Sean Costello, Eric Burdon, Kim Lembo & Blue Heat, Joe Whiting, Cub Koda, Kelly James a/k/a Dr. Blue, Arthur Brown & others.

About The GREAT Salt City BLUES Concert Series

The GREAT Salt City BLUES Concert is an annual event held the day after Christmas. A series of 10 GREAT Salt City BLUES Concerts will be presented. This is concert #9 and each concert has been performed in front of a full-capacity audience.
Each concert is unique and never to be repeated with a changing line-up of performers featuring some of the area's greatest musicians. Each concert is a thematic show honoring some of the area's greatest musicians chosen specifically because they are best suited for the show.
